I'm told the only downside to California is the black widows. I have to admit, it's a pretty big downside. But, we just made a new friend:
I love you, insectide. Love, love, love. Kurt sprayed this around the edge of the house to keep bugs out, and in the process killed no less than four black widows. I wish we had done this the day we moved in, but better late than never, right?

Yikes!
wow that's a huge spider. We have tiny ones here and Andrew is really afraid of them. He would hold off going the potty if he sees one in there, so we've been sweeping them out too.
