Christmas Pictures

As promised, here are our pictures from Christmas. Lucky for us, Kurt's mom had a backup of these. Here is Naomi at our layover in Atlanta, looking at an airplane. We went to Utah for Christmas. We stayed with Kurt's parents, who live in Utah Valley. We were able to see all of Kurt's siblings and all of my siblings that live in the area as well (7 of the 11). We really enjoyed being able to see family.
Naomi really enjoyed her time visiting family. She got to do all sorts of fun crafts, including painting "stained glass" butterflies.
We also colored frisbies. Naomi's was a work of art. She also made a gingerbread house with Nana, but for some reason I don't have pictures of that.

Naomi opened her present from Grandma and Grandpa Jenkins (Kurt's grandparents) a few days early. It was so cute. When she opened it, she saw the dogs and said, "puppy love!" She was so excited to get puppy love for Christmas. She also nicknamed the Mildenstein's dog "Puppy Love", incidentally. Naomi loved having a cat and a dog around.
Nana (Kurt's mom) and Naomi spent the mornings together. Here they are making breakfast.
Naomi helps make French Toast. Nana was brave enough to let her help crack eggs. Sorry, Naomi, but mommy's not that nice.
Here is a collage of the Christmasy stuff. Of course it wouldn't be Christmas without a visit with Santa. For some reason Naomi didn't seem too keen to be held by the big bearded man... But Naomi loved all her presents. She loves taking care of her dollies and my little ponies (especially "Pinkie Pie" which has quickly become her favorite) and playing with her kitchen set. Thank you Santa and everyone for making her Christmas so great.
Here we are with Kurt's family.
Hanging out with my family. Naomi enjoyed listening to piano demos. I couldn't resist posting this picture. She is just too cute. I guess I don't have a lot of pictures of my family, but my family got together for food and games and such over the break. Good times had by all.
Naomi got her first trim from a professional, my sister. She's been hesitant about getting her hair cut before, but somehow since she got to play with the spray bottle, she was more willing to cooperate.
And I wouldn't do Christmas break justice without mentioning "pirates". There's a new place in Utah Valley called "Pirate Island". You might say it's like a pirate-themed Chuck E. Cheese. They have an arcade and kid's play place, serve food, and all the servers are dressed up like pirates. We decided to check it out one day, and Naomi loved it. Naomi quickly learned phrases like "arrgh", "I'm a pirate" and "I wanna go to pirates!" Let's just say we ended up going four times. Yeah.

All in all it was a great, relaxing break. It's been hard telling Naomi that we can't go see Nana or "MandyRosie" (Naomi's cousins) since they live too far away, but hopefully we can visit again soon.

Looks like lots of fun. There was a new Pirate Island in St. George too. Too bad for me, I didn't get to go 4 times. Ha ha.
